Ambassadors

The World Radiography Educational Trust Foundation (WRETF) Ambassadors are a dedicated team of radiographers, radiological technologists and radiation therapists from around the world. An Ambassador is a goodwill representative giving his/her time and energies to represent and inform medical communities of the opportunities and benefits offered by the WRETF.

Ambassador of the Year - 2023

Mr. HABIMANA Jean Felix, Rwandan, is Epidemiology and Disease Control specialist on background of Registered Medical Imaging officer. He has a Master’s of Science in Epidemiology and Disease Control from Mount Kenya University, School of Public Health on backround of Bachelor in Medical Imaging Sciences from Ernest Cook Ultrasound Research and Education Institute(ECUREI) in Uganda and Currently PhD preparedness phase. He has 8years in academia and more than 12years in clinical practice related to Medical Imaging, quality improvement and accreditation . In addition, Mr. Jean Felix is serving in different local ,regional, continental and international professional organizations such as SMIR,ARF, PACORI, WRETF and ISRRT among others. He is WRETF ambassador from 2015. He has a passion of conducting research and science implementation. Jean Felix is WRETF Ambassador of year 2023.

Ambassador of the Year - 2022

Stephen Samson Mkoloma-Tanzania

Mr. Stephen Samson Mkoloma is a WRETF Senior Ambassador who is keen and committed to the mission of this foundation. He joined the ambassador team in December 2019. His influence to the World Radiography Community have inspired many to join and follow our activities. He is currently a lead ambassador in Education Partnership Program. Mr. Mkoloma is a Radiology and Imaging Section Supervisor at the Ocean Cancer Institute, Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. He is also engaging in lecturing at the Muhimbili University of Heath and Allied Sciences (MUHAS) at her School of Radiography, and an External Examiner at the Catholic University of Health and Allied Sciences (CUHAS). From ISRRT perspective, Mr. Mkoloma serves as a ISRRT Coordinator for Education for the African after he have served as Coordinator for Public Relations for the African in the past four years since 2018.

Prakash Umbarkar

Mr. Prakash Umbarkar is a Senior Radiation Therapist with more than 13 years of experience inradiation therapy. He has expertise with 3DCRT, IMRT, VMAT, IGRT, DIBH, SRS-SRT, SBRT, TBI, and Patient Education training, as well as 4DRT and Prostate Brachytherapy. He is the Association of Radiation Therapy Technologist's (ARTTI) National Academic Coordinator as well as the West Zonal Secretary of ARTTI of India. He is also a Life-member of the ARTTI and ISRT, as well as the European Society of Therapeutic Radiation and Oncology (ESTRO) .He is also an IARRSS-International Association of Radiography and Radiological Science Students representative. He has been nominated as an Indian therapist Ambassador to the World Radiography Education Trust Fund, and he is also on the faculty of the International University Radiotherapy Technologist course. He is also the Co-Ordinator of the Orfit-POCL Training School- for Patient Immobilization and Positioning for Radiation Therapy. International Award: 1st ESTRO- ASIA international conference Singapore won best paper best poster award 2018-singapore.

AMBASSADOR OF THE YEAR - 2021

Peach S. Luna - Philippines.

Ms Luna is current the Dean of the College of Medical Radiation Technologist of the Philippine College of Health Sciences, Manila City Philippines. MS Luna is the ambassador of the Philippine to the WRETF since 2018 and also serves the International Society of Radiographer and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT) as the International Council Member for the Philippine. Ms Luna has taken a leading role in producing this year’s World Radiography Students Day.

Adam Francis Zuberi - Tanzania

Adam is a WRETF Senior Ambassador and after returning from Maharishi Markandeshwar University in India is currently an intern radiographer at Muhimbili National Hospital- Mloganzila .Mr Zuberi has provided exceptional service to the Ambassador program since 2019 . Mr Zuberi has played a clinical role in the development of our website by creating a comprehensive database of the Worlds imaging society.

Ambassador of the Year-2020

Mr. Mohammed Abdalghani - Palestine
Mr Abdalghani’s commitment to the mission of the foundation has inspired many within the Ambassador and international radiography community. Mohammed is the Head of Radiology Department at Tulkarem Health Directorate and serves as the Vice President of the Palestinian Association of Medical Radiation Technologists (PAMRT). Mr. Abdalghani is also a board member of Arab Federation of Radiology Specialists Associations (AFRSA).
