CHAIRMAN 

Christopher believes that through increased awareness, creative partnership and intelligent technology integration it is possible to improve access to medical imaging throughout the world. Chris is a Regional Coordinator of Professional Practice for the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT). As Chair of The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Foundation International Outreach Review Committee he works to empower medical professionals to pursue opportunities in international outreach.

Passionate about education, Chris has addressed international audiences including the ISRRT 19th and 20th World Congress, the World Health Organization, the ASRT Educational Symposium, the RAD-AID Conference on Radiology in Developing Countries, the Association of Educators in Imaging and Radiologic Sciences and numerous other organizations and societies. He has contributed book chapters to RAD-AID’s Radiology in Global Health and The Heart Revealed, a project of The European Society of Radiology. Chris is an assistant professor and coordinator the Invasive Cardiology Program at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah, USA.

Ian​ Henderson has been involved in radiography education since 1991 and until 2016 was Head of Radiography at Robert Gordon University having previously been a principal lecturer at London South Bank University. His main area of professional interest relates to radiographic workforce development and health policy. He currently undertakes health education and workforce consultancy, and acts as an assessor for the College of Radiographers Approval and Accreditation Board. A former UK Council member and President of the Society and College of Radiographers, he currently sits on the Society and College of Radiographers Scottish Council. In this context he is involved in promoting professional issues for radiographers and has contributed to a range of professional initiatives and policy documents. He has carried out international education approvals and was formerly the ISRRT European Education Coordinator.

Fozy Peer

Dr Fozy Peer is the Manager of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Inkosi Albert Luthuli Central Hospital since commissioning the department in 2003. She qualified in both Diagnostic Radiography and Nuclear Medicine and holds a Doctorate in Radiography (D.Tech:Rad). She has a Diploma in Human Resource Management. Fozy has been involved with research directly and indirectly and has published in both local and international journals. She has also supervised research projects and examined many postgraduate dissertations.

Nationally, she has served two terms of office as the President of the Society of Radiographers of South Africa (SORSA) and has also held the portfolios of National Treasurer, National Nuclear Medicine Category Representative, Public Liaisons Officer and the Council Member representing South Africa on the ISRRT for 8 years. She has convened the last 5 national SORSA congresses. She was congress convener and was instrumental in being awarded the bid to host the 15th ISRRT World Congress held in Durban, South Africa in April 2008 – the 1st in Africa. Currently she serves on the SORSA national council as member of the executive, and the public liaison officer.

Dr Peer was elected to the Radiography and Clinical Technology Board of the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), where she served two terms of office on the executive committee representing Radiography.

She is on the Board of Editors of the SA Radiographer and the Journal of Medical Imaging and Radiation Sciences. She has various publications and presentations both at national and international levels.

In June 2014, Fozy was elected the 14th President of the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT) – her term of office as President ended in 2018. Prior to being elected as President of ISRRT, Dr Peer served for 2 consecutive terms of 4 years each on the ISRRT Board of Management as Director of Public Relations.

As of August 2018, Dr Peer is proud to be appointed as a trustee on the Board of the World Radiography Educational Trust Foundation (WRETF).

Robert Shen

Robert is a clinical radiographer and lecturer, in Taiwan, he got the certification of diagnostic and therapeutic radiographer of the national exams, and working for the Taiwan Taipei Veterans General Hospital (3000 beds teaching hospital), at the department of radiology, for general radiograph, general fluororadiography, and interventional vascular procedures for more than 30 years, at mean time he also is an active clinical educator for college students for quite long, and also join a lot of international affairs, participate many academic trainings and conferences, but also local professional businesses and international assignments, as well as a local officer of ISRRT for board and regional co-ordinator from 2002 until 2018 consecutively. Have very good relationship with regional medical radiographers, and invited to join WRETF as a trustee, wishes that can work with colleagues and other trustees to carry out the goals and expected achievements of WRETF.

HONORARY SECRETARY AND EDUCATION LEAD

 I have been involved with radiography for over 40 years and most recently have held a number of senior positions in educational roles.  My main interest is image interpretation and the clinical reporting of diagnostic images.  I have worked on and published an extensive range of research projects which have investigated this important activity and have been involved in a number of successful research funding bids.  I was Programme Director of the MSc Clinical Reporting at Canterbury Christ Church University for over 20 years and as part of this role have been involved in developing and providing educational courses, both within UK and overseas. I hope that my experiences will be of some benefit to the Trustees and assist the WRETF to achieve its vision.

Dr. Maureen McPake

Since qualifying as a therapeutic radiographer Maureen has had a varied clinical and academic career within the United Kingdom (U.K.). She holds an honorary fellowship at Glasgow Caledonian University where, until recently, she was a Senior Lecturer carrying leadership responsibilities alongside teaching duties for 18 years.  As well as her honorary fellowship, Maureen is a current member of the Approvals and Accreditation Board of the College of Radiographers, and a member of its Radiotherapy Advisory Group.  Her U.K.-wide doctoral research explored the experience of radiotherapy students and their supervising radiographers during practice placement education and, so far, she has published one of a series of papers.  She is delighted to have become a trustee and looks forward to using her wide-ranging skills to assist the WRETF to achieve its purpose.

His associative activities experience includes ongoing active participation in national and international conferences as a frequent presenter and is would be proud to use my knowledge, skills and expertise acquired along years of professional practice to serve the WRETF in its vision and strategic goals.

Ramona Chanderballi

Miss Chanderballi entered the medical imaging field with her Certificate in Radiography in 2010 from the Ministry of Health, Guyana. She was employed as an X-Ray Technician at the Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation, Guyana from 2010 to 2014 when she left to complete her BSc in Medical Imaging at the University of Guyana where she graduated in April 2018. Ramona is the owner and blogger of RadToTheBone592, the first medical imaging blog in Guyana. Ms Chanderballi graduated the Guyana Echocardiography Education Programme at Georgetown Public Hospital Corporation in collaboration with the Institute for Health Sciences Education Guyana, University of Calgary Canada and LIBIN Cardiovascular Institute in May 2019. She is currently employed as an Echocardiography Technologist at the Georgetown Public Hospital and is in the process of completing the Burwin Pediatric Echocardiography course. She is passionate and proactive about the medical imaging field and its advancement. She has served as the WRETF Ambassador for Guyana from July 2018 to July 2019.

Professor Subramanya K. Betageri is well known among the radiation oncology communities as "Manya." Professor Manya is currently a professor and the clinical coordinator for the radiation therapy program at the Health Sciences, Education, and Wellness Institute (HSEWI) at Bellevue College, Bellevue, Washington State, USA. Professor Manya is a board-certified radiation therapist who has practiced in Jamaica, the United Kingdom, and the United States. Professor Manya earned his initial radiation therapy training from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal University, in India. Professor Manya completed the advanced placement radiation therapy program from Loma Linda University in California and is currently pursuing the enhanced radiotherapy and oncology practice post-graduate program at Sheffield Hallam University in the United Kingdom. Professor Manya is one of the trustees on the board of the World Radiography Trust Foundation (WRETF). Professor Manya is an active member of the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT), the society and college of radiographers, (SOR), the United Kingdom, the association of educators in radiologic sciences (AEIRS), and the National Education Association (NEA), all in the United States

Lisa Pittock

I have been a radiographer for over 30 years and have worked in a variety of clinical settings in the UK. Having completed postgraduate studies in my main area of interest in clinical reporting, I continue to practice as a radiographer, reporting X rays of the appendicular and axial skeleton. Since 2011 I have worked in education and now lead the MSc Clinical Reporting programme at Canterbury Christ Church University. I have had the pleasure of teaching students from several overseas countries in reporting and initial interpretation of X rays. I hope that my experience will help the WRETF to achieve its aims
