The Department of Radiology in South Eastern Trust, Northern Ireland is twinned with Radiology in Harare Central Hospital, Zimbabwe and we have been helping them to build an educational library. To introduce ourselves we made a slide show of our department staff holding a sign saying " Mhoro" which is hello in Zimbabwean. This was very well received in Harare and in return we received a slide show of staff photographs and facilities in Harare. Lots of lovely smiling faces that warmed our hearts as you can see and spurred us on.

Initially we asked all of our colleagues to donate any unwanted text books in the hope that many of the titles were the ones requested by Shelton Muchemwa, Chief Radiographer. We got lucky as many were indeed on the list. Late August 2018, we held a coffee morning to raise enough money to post 30kgs of books to Harare. This is almost ready for dispatch. We have a further 30kgs of books we want to ship before Christmas. There were many other items on Shelton's list which we have asked the Imaging in Developing Countries, Special Interest Group  (IDC SIG) to help us with.
